Insolvency Journal scoops top web award

20 November 2009

The Insolvency Journal beat off stiff competition last night to win the Best Professional Services Website category at this year’s Golden Spider awards. The site was recognised for its high quality presentation of relevant content and its smart use of effective and appropriate technology.

Speaking on the night, MC Risteard Cooper praised the quality and content of the Insolvency Journal: “The judges thought what is striking about insolvencyjournal.ie is the quality of its execution. Great content, up-to-date, with very high quality visuals used to illustrate data. It is a fantastic example of how good content can keep browsers on the site and more importantly coming back for more,” he said.

The Golden Spider Awards, now in their 13th year, are Ireland’s premier internet and web awards and honour Irish individuals and organizations for their outstanding achievements online. The awards have come to be recognised as a benchmark of excellence in the online industry.

The Insolvency Journal was launched in February 2009 by Kavanagh Fennell and already attracts over 40,000 visits a month. The site is an independent and unique news service offering insolvency news and producing high quality articles and statistics. This includes a daily update of notices of creditors meetings, appointments and petitions, up-to-date insolvency statistics and a breaking news section.
It has fast become one of the top industry resources for insolvency-related notices and news stories.

Other winners of the Golden Spider Awards included Colm Ryan, internet entrepreneur and founder of Realex payments, who won the Internet Hero award and Muzu.tv which picked up the Grand Prix Award.
